Mom’s Busy With Maternity Photoshoot , Then Photographer Asks Her to Turn Around

Rich and Jasmine, from Atlanta, Georgia, are vloggers who chronicle their “Rich and Jazzy life” on YouTube. Mom and dad to two beautiful children, the happy couple has shared several of their pivotal life experiences with their online audience since 2016, but one of their videos has a staggering 5.6 million views.

For good reason.

Jasmine holds the camera. After a quick disclaimer about her makeup-free visage (beautiful, of course), she introduces the 6-minute-long video by explaining that “today we are doing my maternity shoot, finally!” Jasmine is nine months pregnant, and glimpses of the beautiful expectant mother in subsequent scenes show that she’s about ready to pop.

Jasmine is having her makeup done before the photoshoot begins, so the couple pulls up at a Sephora makeup store and she steps out of the car. Rich takes over. With the car (and camera) to himself, it’s time for Rich to let the audience in on a huge secret: it’s July 5, 2017, and in the middle of Jasmine’s photoshoot, he is going to propose.

“She’s claimed for years now that she’s going to see it coming a mile away,” Rich confides. “But I’m thinking she’s going to be pretty surprised.” Rich called Jasmine’s father and got the all-important paternal approval. He even had the perfect ring. “It’s time to make it happen!” he exclaims.

The couple heads out to a scenic outdoor waterfall for the perfect photo backdrop. Jasmine looks incredible in a bump-framing, flowing pink dress and perfect makeup. The photographer (who is in on the surprise, thanks to Rich’s immaculate preparations), asks Jasmine to pose on her own to give Rich time to prepare.

Jasmine, no stranger to the camera, absorbs herself in achieving the perfect pose. Little does she know that her future husband is poised behind her, on one knee, with her dream engagement ring in his hand.

When she turns back around, Jasmine gets the surprise of her life. Rich proposes, the beautiful mom-to-be bursts into tears of joy, and her emphatic nod tells us what we already know: she said yes.

The very best thing? The whole experience was caught on camera to be lovingly rewatched for years and years to come. Tenth-anniversary plans: sorted!

Jasmine was prompted by National Proposal Day on March 20 the very next year to revisit her own surprise proposal. The now-married “Mrs. Rich” shared her jubilation with her fans on Facebook. “Thank you to my husband for making this day so magical and so amazing!” she wrote. “Thank you for making this day so personal and touching!”

“Thank you for getting me the ring I wanted since High School!”

Rich and Jasmine “eloped“ to Atlanta Piedmont Park on Dec. 26, 2017. They continue to chronicle their ”Rich and Jazzy” lives on YouTube, including their fast-growing baby daughters Reign and Royce, their epic honeymoon, and buying their first family home.
